Rural Modernist Ceramics by Jason O'Malley<br> I'm an illustrator by day, potter by night. I make ceramic vases and sculptures with a Scandinavian/mid-century modern sensibility, inspired by sea life, organs, and nature. <br> A group of freshly thrown sculptures chill out before heading off to the kiln.<br> Experimenting with texture.<br> This colony of glossy white pots reminds me of a coral reef when grouped together.<br> Two (or three) heads are better than one.<br> Another graphic grouping of pots.<br> I plan on being featured in Ceramic Review any day now.<br> Freshly glazed sculptures bathed in sunlight before being fired in the kiln.<br>
